Osun: Funke Akindele Reacts To APC Defeat

Funke Akindele, Nollywood actress and Peoples Democratic Party deputy governorship candidate in Lagos, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke, governor-elect of Osun State.
The Nollywood actress stated on her official Instagram page that it is a sign that power has shifted.
“Congratulations Senator Ademola Adeleke on your election as the next Governor of Osun State,” she wrote. Indeed, power has shifted. DE IMOLE!!!
“Sir, you are the light of Osun State, and I pray that God blesses you with good health and a long life so that you can carry out all of your good intentions for the people of Osun.” Sir, God bless you.”
The PDP candidate received 403,371 votes, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Gov. Gboyega Oyetola, received 375,027 votes.
After voting in 3,763 polling units, Ademola won in 17 of the state’s 30 local government areas.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke, the party’s candidate in the Osun governorship election, on his victory.
Remember that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner of the governorship election on Sunday morning after defeating the All Progressives Congress candidate and incumbent governor, Gboyega Oyetola. Continue reading
