Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
OnTuesday, some Nollywood and Kanywood stars descended on Jos, the Plateau state capital, to support All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Sen. Ahmed Tinubu and running mate Sen. Kashim Shettima.
In Jos, the APC launched its presidential campaign, seeking Nigerians’ support for Tinubu and Shettima, respectively, as president and vice president.
Nollywood and Kanywood actors who have been spotted include Jide Kosoko, Gentle Jack, Sani Mu’azu Foluke Daramola, and Ali Nuhu.
Other cast members included Zack Orji, Said Balogun, Taiwo Hassan, Bimbo Akintola, and many more.
Jide Kosoko stated in a brief statement that they were in Jos to express their solidarity and support for Tinubu, whom he described as capable of addressing the country’s challenges.
Tinubu will run for the presidency of the APC.
Tinubu “proved his mettle in every position he held,” according to Kosoko.
On behalf of Kanywood, Ali Nuhu urged Nigerians to support Tinubu and Shettima.
Nuhu urged those who had not yet obtained their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) to do so so that they could vote for the duo.
The actor stated that they would go to any length to rally their members and fans behind Tinubu/Shettima.
“I’m here with some of my colleagues to express our support for Tinubu,” he told the crowd.
To show their support for the APC candidates, the actors danced to various songs.
Musicians such as Terry G, Zulezu, and others performed at the event.
