Tinubu Presidency: National budget will be N50 – N100 trillion – Adamu Garba
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adamu Garba has claimed the national budget under Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency would be in the region of N50 – N100 trillion.
Garba’s claim was contained in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.
Recall that the House of Representatives passed the 2023 appropriation bill on Wednesday, increasing the N20.51 trillion budget estimates presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to N21.82 trillion.
However, Garba said the budget passed by the House might look big but would be small under the Tinubu/Shettima presidency.
He wrote, “The National Assembly passed the N21.8Trn budget today. It may look big, but under the Tinubu/Shettima ticket, this can be small. You know why? Because their manifesto offers to localize our budget purely with Naira, not pegged against the dollar.
“We could have a N50-100Trn budget for Nigeria.”
