UPDATE: Makinde Clears 31 Out Of 33 LGAs In Oyo Governorship Race

The gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and incumbent Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has won 31 local government areas out of the 33 announced by the state’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday.

The winning is coasting Governor Makinde for a re-election victory in the on-going governorship election.

The governor, who is seeking reelection is contesting against a three-term Senator, Teslim Folarin of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Chief Adebayo Adelabu of Accord, among other contestants.

Teslim comes a distant second in the governorship race ahead of Adebayo Adelabu of the Accord Party.
