On September 7th 2023, Hon. For Turnah, his seven years travail in the hands of the EFCC was training in disguise which has prepared him better for greater responsibilities. He also called on the anti-graft agency to be diligent in carrying out its duties but not become a stooge to do the biddings of desperate politicians, adding that all indicators pointed to the fact that his prosecution was a political move orchestrated by those who were either threatened by God’s faithfulness upon his life and his political future.
Thanking God for his triumph over the EFCC, George Turnah, MON also appreciated all those who stood by him and supported him and his family during his time of travail, including Nigeria’s former President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri whom he said God miraculously brought to become governor to help him as well as a number of others who God used to strengthen him.
