Why Peter Obi’s petition is valid – Sam Amadi
A renowned scholar and Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Dr Sam Amadi has reacted to the election petition filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP.
Amadi said Obi’s petition at the election tribunal contained the main point he had been making, insisting that the election was probably invalid for failure to transmit results electronically direct from polling units.
The scholar, whose statement is contained in a post via his Twitter handle on Tuesday, said only those who don’t understand administrative law would disagree with his submission.
He wrote, “The @PeterObi petition has the main point I have been making. The February 25 election is probably invalid for failure to ELECTRONICALLY transmit results direct from PUs. By Clause 38 & S. 60, 64 EA, it is mandatory.
“Anyone who disagrees doesn’t understand Administrative Law.”
