Your Manifesto Is Filled With False Statistics, Fallacies, Tinubu Campaign Hits Obi Peter Obi

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has stated that the manifesto of Labour Party (LP) flagbearer Peter Obi is riddled with fallacies and ambiguity.
On December 5, the former governor of Anambra State released his 72-page manifesto titled ‘It’s POssible: Our Pact with Nigerians,’ according to Track News.In the policy document, the LP presidential candidate listed seven priority areas that his administration would focus on if elected president in 2023.In a statement issued on Tuesday, the APC Campaign’s Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, said Obi’s manifesto is full of lies, fallacies, and false statistics.According to the APC campaign spokesman, Obi’s manifesto lacks grand policy initiatives and options to excite right-thinking Nigerians, and he lacks the mental acuity and rigour required for the presidency.Onanuga also claimed that the LP flagbearer’s manifesto is a poor imitation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s accomplishments over the last seven years.”By now, many of the gullible followers must have been utterly disappointed that their man didn’t offer them anything to be proud of after all the blusters and the initial leakage of the document, which strangely contains 15 pages of Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-biographical Ahmed’s sketches,” he said.”There are no grand policy initiatives or options in Mr Peter Obi’s document that will excite right-thinking Nigerians.” It was silent on how Obi intends to achieve his lofty goals. Instead, it will raise alarms in the south-south and north-east as Obi promises to “engineer Nigeria’s transition from fossil fuel dependency to climate and eco-friendly energy use.””Obi’s document contains fallacies and false statistics, as expected.” According to Obi, China has lifted 740 million people out of poverty. He downplayed the achievement and remained silent on the time it took the Chinese Communist Party to achieve it. China lifted nearly 800 million people out of poverty over the course of 40 years. This makes the current APC administration’s plan to lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in ten years more realistic than Obi’s rhetoric suggests.”One of the document’s fallacies, which Obi has frequently repeated to his followers, is that Nigeria is a failed state.” We wonder if the Labour Party candidate ever checks the definition of a failed state, and if the country he aspires to lead falls into the mold of Yemen or Somalia, where government institutions have lost total control of their societies.”Another fallacy is Obi’s claim that Nigeria made modest gains from 1999 to 2015, the PDP years, despite all verifiable evidence to the contrary.” The Labour Party candidate diagnosed Nigeria’s problem as ‘elite capture,’ which is self-incriminating given that he and his running mate, whom he dubbed the ‘new breed,’ are members.”He claims inept leadership has divided the country, exploiting religious and ethnic sentiments.” Another indictment of himself is that the hallmark of his campaign has been to jump from one church to the next, positioning himself as a “Christian candidate” and inciting the church against the current APC government.”In fact, Mr Obi’s document is a poor imitation and regurgitation of what President Muhammadu Buhari’s current APC-led administration is doing.” If anything, the document depicted him as a man devoid of honor, credibility, and character because he promises to do everything he has previously railed against and delegitimized.”We boldly assert that Mr Obi lacks the mental acuity and rigor required for the job he has asked Nigerians to entrust to him.” He is unquestionably unprepared to be the president that this great country deserves. And if the Labour Party candidate did indeed pay for the wishy-washy document.”
