A former Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, Hon. Kia E ideseghabofa Nigeria, has congratulated Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on their victory at the polls on the 11th of November, 2023, saying his victory in the Governorship election was well-deserved.
Hon. Kia in a congratulatory message to Douye Diri on Friday, November 17, hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission issued Certificate of Return to Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo winner of last Saturday’s Governorship poll said, “It is with great delight that he celebrate their electoral victory at the polls.
Hon. Nigeria Kia said, “It was a victory well-deserved, and one built on years of focus, hard work, doggedness and the political sagacity of a democrat whose credential has been evident at the works done by the Prosperity administration and that Bayelsans look forward to the implementation of Diri’s visions for a new Bayelsa as outlined in his manifesto during the campaign.
Hon. Nigeria Kia said he believed in Diri/Law capability to transform even the most challenging of situations.
According to Hon. Nigeria Kia, Governor Douye Diri ‘s agenda, as outlined in his policy document, offers hope and assured future for Bayelsans and that the people will be counting on Diri to bring his magic touch to bear and bring about a great improvement in the fortune of our dear State and added that he do not doubt that Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo will meet the expectations of all.
