Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Festus Keyamo, the minister of state for labor, has been urged to be immediately added to the security watch list.
The LP said this in a statement released on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Abayomi Arabambi, in response to accusations made by Keyamo against its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, according to Track News.
Remember that Keyamo had claimed that the former governor of Anambra State intended to stage his murder and hire some followers to attack his party offices while they were wearing APC hats and T-shirts.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council spokeswoman also accused Obi of disseminating a hateful film online to degrade Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
Arabambi reacted to Kayemo’s accusations by requesting that President Muhammadu Buhari order the service chiefs to place Keyamo and other APC presidential campaign council members on security as a result of their statements.
Prior to the general elections in 2023, he asserted that Keyamo and other council members now pose a threat to democracy and characterized the minister’s behavior as treasonable.
He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari must urgently direct the service chiefs to place Festus Keyamo and other APC presidential Campaign members and supporters on a security watch list as they are now a threat to democracy ahead of the 2023 general elections.
“I called on the Inspector General of Police to urgently commence a comprehensive investigation into Mr Festus Keyamo unlawful and treasonable activities. His conducts are likely to cause a breach of peace and anarchy in our country if this ugly trend is not nipped in the bud and Keyamo be made to face possible prosecution in a court of Law.
“LP sees the forced self-confession of the APC about the conspiracy being floated by the APC to assassinate the most popular and supported people’s preferred and loved 2023 Presidential Candidate, as yet another proof of God’s involvement with the Peter Obi candidacy.”
“It is also the responsibility of security agencies to ensure that all the candidates are truly secured. The LP is loudly and clearly expressing its condemnation of the criminally-inclined politics the APC is trying to re-introduce into the Nigerian political system.”
According to the LP spokesman, the APC has grown uneasy since Obi’s “one million-man” demonstrations began to see enormous national achievements.
In their phony attempt to tarnish Obi’s reputation, the party, according to Arambambi, saw Keyamo’s acts as not only dishonest but also a covert ploy to win undeserved sympathy.

“Labour party considered this devilish act by the APC presidential spokesman as not only dishonest but a subtle way to gain undeserved sympathy in their phony attempt to employ crude primitive tactics clandestinely in order to win the 2023 presidential election through fraudulent means,” he continued.
“Despite its ludicrous content, it is vital to clarify the issue for the benefit of the broader public after Festus Keyamo made a contentious and extremely offensive remark against our presidential candidate.c
Festus Keyamo made a controversial and very insulting remark against our presidential candidate, but despite its ridiculous substance, it is necessary to clarify the situation for the benefit of the general public and our party members.
Festus Keyamo is reminded by the Labour Party that section 33(1) of Chapter IV of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s Constitution on fundamental rights states: “Every person has a right to life, and no one shall be intentionally deprived of his life, except in execution of the sentence of a court in respect of a criminal offence of which he has been found guilty in Nigeria.”
