Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto State, has expressed grief over the death of one of his commissioners, Usman Suleiman.

After an illness, the Peoples Democratic Party chieftain in charge of the Ministry of Religious Affairs died on Friday.

Tambuwal described him as a devout Muslim and a hardworking official who excelled in every ministry he oversaw.

The governor expressed his condolences to the government and people of the state, particularly Suleiman’s family and close associates.

Tambuwal also prayed for the repose of his soul and begged Almighty Allah to grant him Aljannah firdaus as his final resting place.

The remains of Danmadamin Isa, the traditional title holder, had been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.

Deputy Governor Mannir Dan’iya, Secretary to the Government Mainasara Ahmad, Head of Service Abubakar Dan-Shehu, and State PDP Chairman Bello Goronyo were among those present at his burial.
