Rangers and Scotland legend, Ally McCoist, has tipped Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League last-8 ahead of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid was drawn with Liverpool in the Champions League last-16 on Monday.

It would be a repeat of last season’s final, where Los Blancos won against the Reds.

Both teams will clash next year in the Champions League round of 16 for a place in the quarter-final.

However, McCoist believes the Premier League giants are favourites to advance to the next round ahead of Real Madrid.

He said: “I certainly have the feeling they [Liverpool] could pull something out of the hat in Europe.

“I would actually have them as slight favourites [against Real Madrid]
