The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Sports has commended His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, for his holistic and visionary decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Monday, the Commissioner described the Governor’s action as a strategic step towards fostering greater political inclusiveness and promoting unity and development across the state.
According to the Commissioner, Governor Diri’s decision reflects his deep sense of patriotism and unwavering commitment to the growth and stability of Bayelsa State. He noted that the move would further strengthen the relationship between the state and the federal government, paving the way for accelerated development, particularly in youth and sports advancement.
