Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has slammed presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu for claiming to be responsible for the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as the President.
TrackNews had reported that Tinubu had said that he made Buhari President in 2015 and expect to be supported to emerge as the APC presidential candidate.
He also revealed how he nominated Yemi Osinbajo for Vice President in 2015 and how he supported the emergence of Dapo Abiodun as the Governor of Ogun State.
Tinubu stated this on Thursday while addressing the All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates in Abeokuta, Ogun State ahead of the party’s June 6 presidential primaries.
Reacting in a post via his Twitter handle on Thursday night, Omokri stated that the claim that Tinubu was responsible for Buhari’s emergence might be true or not.
He, however, claimed that Tinubu fought and abandoned Afenifere after the Yoruba socio-cultural group made him the governor of Lagos State in 1999.
Omokri stated that the APC National leader deserves the treatment is getting from President Muhammadu and the ruling party.
He wrote: “Tinubu says he made Buhari President in 2015 and expects to be supported in 2023. That may or may not be true. But what is true is that Afenifere made Tinubu Governor in 1999, and he not only abandoned them. He also fought them. One bad turn deserves another!”
