Tottenham centre-back, Cristian Romero, has named Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez as the best two defenders in the Premier League at the moment.
Romero also heaped praise on compatriot and Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi.
He stated that there is currently no player in world football that can be compared to the Argentine captain.
Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports (via Mundo Albiceleste), Romero said, “Today, the best defender for me is Virgil van Dijk, always, and Lisandro Martínez from Manchester United. For me, they are the best in the Premier League.”
He added, “Messi, for me, is a different class of player. I have not seen a player like him in my life
