Sacked PDP National Secretary Anyanwu Risks Jail Term as Court Issues Final Warning

An Enugu High Court has restrained the sacked National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu, from parading himself as the party’s scribe, failure of which he risks being committed to prison.
The order, contained in a judgment delivered by the presiding judge, C.O. Ajah, stated: “Unless you (Anyanwu) obey the directions contained in this order, you will be guilty of contempt of court and liable to be committed to prison.”
The judgment, sighted by TrackNews Media, was a sequel to a case filed by Emmanuel Aniagu (plaintiff), with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the PDP Acting National Chairman, Iliya Umar Damagun, Anyanwu, and the PDP National Vice Chairman, Southeast, Ali Odefa, as defendants.

“That the 3rd defendant was elected in April 2023 as the gubernatorial candidate of the 1st defendant for the Imo State governorship election, scheduled for November 2023, while still serving as the National Secretary of the 1st defendant.
