Ashley Massaro, ex-WWE star, Diva Search winner and Playboy model has died at the age of 39.

According to UK Sun report citing The Blast, the wrestler, who also featured on Survivor, was pronounced dead on arrival in hospital on Thursday, May 16.

The report further revealed that official reacted to a “rescue call” of an unconscious female at her home in Suffolk County, New York, at 5.23am.

On her way to the hospital, Ashley was administered CPR, but she could not make it at the end.

Additional reports claim police have classified her death as “non-criminal” as they believe there was no foul play.

At the last count, Ashley claimed the WWE’s 2005 Raw Diva Search, with $250,000 (ÂŁ195,000) one-year deal.

She also assisted WWE tag team champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick with their clothes and appearance.

Ashley will mostly be remembered for her fight in 2007 against Melina at WWE Women’s Championship in WrestleMania 23

She also featured in a Playboy BunnyMania LumberJill match at WrestleMania 24 the year after.

In 2007, Ashley featured on Survivor: China in 2007, but could not make it to the second episode after failing to get enough votes.

Ashley equally featured on the cover of Playboy Magazine in April 2007.

“We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro,” a statement from WWE read in part.

“She performed in WWE from 2005-2008 and was beloved by her fellow Superstars and fans around the world. WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends.”

Earlier, Tracknews.ng reported that ex-WCW wrestling star, Silver King, has died at the age of 51 after suffering a heart attack while playing his tried-and-true role of villain in London at the Roundhouse.

According to reports, a kick may have activated a coronary that occasioned the heart attack, with authorities confirming the wrestler breathed his last at the venue on Saturday, May 11.

In a video that has since surfaced, King can be seen knocked down, squirming on the ground – a common choreograph among wrestlers during matches.

However, a kick to the chest drops him to the ground, with his face planted into the mat – but never gets up.
