Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.

Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has prayed to God to deliver Nigeria from insecurity and other challenges.

Obi made the spiritual call while worshiping with the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja over the weekend.
Among those accompanying Obi to the church were Akwa Ibom State Governor Emmanuel Udom and Delta State First Lady, Mrs Edith Okowa.

The South African High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Thami Mseleku, and the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara, were also present.

Dunamis Church’s pastor is Dr Paul Enenche.
Obi’s video went viral on social media after the session.
Becky Enenche, Enenche’s wife, introduced Obi to the congregation, saying, “And tonight, we also have Mr Peter Obi who has joined for the service this evening.”
As he prayed for Nigeria, the LP candidate was seen kneeling and holding the Nigerian flag.

“God, we have no other country but this one; deliver us, heal us, liberate us; we have no other country but this one; deliver us,” Obi prayed.
As Obi was welcomed, the worshippers at the International Gospel Centre erupted in applause.

Former Anambra State Governor Obi is one of the leading presidential candidates for the 2023 election.
Obi has enjoyed online support and growing acceptance among many Nigerian youths, particularly in the south, since becoming the LP presidential flagbearer.

Enenche declared, while praying for the nation, that Nigeria was at war with the forces of hell, and that prayer was a powerful weapon for defeating them.
He prayed for the nation’s rebirth and a new Nigeria, as well as its survival, while reading from Numbers 10:9-10.
The pastor urged Christians to continue praying for the peace of the country.
