Victor Osimhen made history as the first Napoli player to score in seven consecutive Serie A games after netting in the Partenopei’s 2-0 win against Sassuolo at the MAPEI Stadium.

The Nigeria international scored his side’s second goal of the game in 33 minutes.

Osimhen has now scored 18 goals and recorded three assists in 19 league appearances for Luciano Spalletti’s side this season.

The stunning strike was also the forward’s 100th career goal.

Osimhen has so far scored 85 goals for his various European clubs, with 15 goals in 22 appearances for the Super Eagles.

He is also currently the second-best African top scorer in Serie A behind former AC Milan star, George Weah.
