Former Kaduna Central lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has reacted to the killing and burning of a female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education in‪ Sokoto State.

Tracknews had earlier reported that the lady identified as Deborah was beaten to death over alleged blasphemy on Thursday morning.

The female student was set ablaze by her colleagues for allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Thereafter the killers filmed the barbaric action and posted it online.

It was learned that she was burnt to death by Muslim students who dragged her out of her hostel.

Following the sad development, the former lawmaker took to his Twitter handle to condemn the evil act, demanding for justice over the inhumane act.

He added that the allegations made against the deceased should have been investigated by the Sokoto security agencies.

He wrote; “The murder of Deborah, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education Sokoto is unconscionable and unreservedly & unambiguously condemned. Allegations against the deceased supposed to be investigated by Sokoto security agencies and follow due process of law.”
