TRACKING_____Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, son of AIT owner Raymond Dokpesi, has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Dokpesi Jnr, who serves as the Chairman of DAAR communications Plc, disclosed this in a short brief to member of staff in Abuja, AIT reports.
“I got a call this morning confirming the result is COVID-19 positive,” the message read.
“I am leaving now to the Gwagwalada Isolation Centre for treatment and hope to be back in two weeks.”
He advised anyone who may have interacted with him recently to also get tested, stressing the urgency,
“Many of you may have interacted with me during our various meetings and I would advise you to get tested as soon as possible.”
Along with most of Nigeria, Dokpesi Jnr is said to have been self-isolating in the past week before he began developing symptoms.
This prompted him to reach out to the Nigerian Center for Disease Control (NCDC) for a COVID-19 test which came back positive.
With over 1273 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, the worldwide pandemic still continues to make an impact on the giant of Africa.
Abba Kyari, the President’s now former Chief of Staff, died from COVID-19.
The son of former Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, also tested positive and is now in recovery.
