AFCON 2023: Super Eagles Seal Qualification Into Second Round, Await Cameroon or Guinea In Round of 16
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the second round of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’Ivoire.
Nigeria sealed their qualification after a slim 1 nil wim6 over Guinea-Bissau who finished last in Group A.
It wasn’t the best of performance by the Super Eagles as they struggles to play theough the middle for lost parts of the game.

The only goal of the match was scored by the opponent in the first half. Kenneth Omeruo’s long range pass was headed into space by Aina for Simon who squared the ball into the box for Osimhen.
Unfortunately, the ball was put into the net by Oma Sangante 36 minutes into the match.
While the Super Eagles struggled to dominatethe match, the Wild Dogs were quite dominant on the ball and their dominance paid off as Franculino restored parity in the 81st minute but it was ruled offside.
Zaidu Sanusi came in the secomd half and put the ball into the back of the net but his goal was rules offside as well.
Nigeria held on the slim victory as they sealed their spot into the round of 16 where they will take on Cameroon or Guinea having finished second behind Equatorial Guinea who thrashed host Cote D’Ivoire 4 nil
