Agbonlahor makes claim on Man Utd, Ronaldo, singles out Eriksen, five others
By Adeleye Kunle
Former Aston Villa captain, Gabby Agbonlahor, has claimed that Manchester United are reaping the benefits of dropping forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
Agbonlahor also singled out six Manchester United stars, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Scott McTominay, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Jadon Sancho, for praise.
Following a poor start to his regime at Man United, new manager Erik ten Hag has turned things around in style.
Man United have won four Premier League games in a row after losing their first two and presently sit in the fifth position on the table with 12 points from six games.
And Agbonlahor believes Man United finally have the team spirit they have been lacking for a long time.
“Man United look a lot better now. They look more organised and like they have a better team spirit. Everyone was calling for Man United to drop Ronaldo and play players who want to press, and they’re reaping the benefits,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.
“You look at Eriksen and Fernandes in the middle creating, and McTominay looking good.
“Antony looks like a great signing. Sancho is starting to want to take players on, and Rashford is looking like we want to see and think we have. This amazing Rashford is a guarantee for the World Cup with the way he’s playing
