It is no longer news that Nigeria’s Super Eagles will tackle Libya’s Mediterranean Knights at the Stade Taïeb Mhiri in Sfax,Tunisia in a 2019 AFCON qualifying match today, October 16.

TRACKNEWS.NG in this report highlights four other interesting international matches that will hold in different venues across the globe tonight.

1. Mexico vs Chile (friendly) Queretaro

The encounter will see a not too experienced Mexico’s El Tri tackle a Chile squad without its biggest stars during the international friendly in Queretaro.

Mexico will be going into the game after a 3-2 friendly win over Costa Rica on Thursday, courtesy of a Raul Jimenez spot-kick.

The central American nation boast of more quality in their team but Chile equally parade veterans like Fabian Orellana that don’t want to stop playing .

Indeed, a cracker is in the offering, but expect a low score line at the end of 90 minutes.

2. Brazil vs Argentina (Friendly) King Abdullah Sports City, Saudi Arabia

This is one of football world’s fiercest rivalries expected to entertain football fans in the Middle East and beyond.

In addition, it is the second consecutive friendly between the Selecao and La Albesties that will hold outside South America, after battling one another in their 2017 contest in Melbourne.

Although, this is an exhibition game, fans across the world will be keeping tabs as Brazil and Argentina showcase their skills after disappointing performances at the summer World Cup in Russia.

3. Belgium vs Netherlands (UEFA Nations League)

The Oranje Boys return to action after a precious win over Germany. The encounter promises all the trills when both neighbouring countries file out 7.45pm GMT for a UEFA Nations League showdown.

Speaking ahead of the game, Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman stressed that despite the 3-0 win over Germany in Amsterdam, Netherlands are still a work in progress.

“Whether we are back? We are in the process of placing ourselves for the European Championships in 2020. Only when we are there and also perform there, can we say that we are back.”

Next month, Netherlands host France and travel to Germany in the final Nations League ties, but first they travel to meet Belgium in the Derby der Lage Landen.

Possible Netherlands line-up: Cillessen, Dumfries, Van Aanholt, De Ligt, Ake, Rosario, F.De Jong, Wijnaldum, Danjuma, Promes, Memphis

Possible Belgium line-up: Mignolet, Boyata, Mechele, Kabasele, Denayer, Chadli, Praet, Tielemans, Mertens, Hazard, Batshuayi

4. France vs Germany (UEFA Nations League) Stade de France

This encounter will see two former world champions battle one another again when France host Germany clash in a UEFA Nations League fixture at the Stade de France.

Currently, France sit atop of Group A1 log and would be closing in on the Finals with victory over the team they dethroned, who remain focused to keep their hopes alive after Holland defeat.
