Enyimba roar in Akure, Lobi Stars stumble
Enyimba picked their third away win of the season courtesy of a 3-0 victory against Kwara United in Akure on Sunday.
The Aba giants moved from fourth to second position on the Group A log. The result put them in good position to pick a Super Six spot.
The game of the week ended in a 1-1 draw between Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance in Ikenne.
Remo Stars scored first but Bendel Insurance fought back to keep their unbeaten run intact.
The Benin Arsenals have now drawn their last five games.
It’s now a tough battle among the leading teams in Group A, with little separating them on the table.
At least five teams are in good position to finish in the top three in the group.
The fight is still on in Group B with leaders Lobi Stars losing 3-0 to Bayelsa United in Yenagoa.
Bayelsa United can at least be sure of their safety now after this remarkable victory.
Doma United, Abia Warriors, Niger Tornadoes and Rivers United are all pushing to finish in the top three
