Arsenal legend, Emmanuel Petit, has criticized defender, Rob Holding.

Petit said that Holding is too soft for a defender, adding that he is not a big fan of the player.

Holding started Arsenal’s 4-1 Premier League win over Crystal Palace last weekend after William Saliba sustained an injury during their UEFA Europa League defeat to Sporting Lisbon last week.

“Rob Holding, I’m not a big fan of him, to be honest,” Petit told Premier League Productions.

“I think he’s too soft as a defender.

“It is such a shame also to see [Takehiro] Tomiyasu injured. I would have preferred to have Tomiyasu at right-back and Ben White as a central defender.”
