EPL: I have more belief Arsenal can win title after 3-1 defeat to Man City – Arteta
Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has said he has more belief in his squad’s ability to win the Premier League title despite their 3-1 loss to Manchester City on Wednesday night.
City went in front through Kevin De Bruyne, but Bukayo Saka levelled the game from the penalty spot.
Jack Grealish put the champions ahead, before Erling Haaland finished off De Bruyne’s pass.
Arteta has insisted that Arsenal “matched” City’s level and went head-to-head with them.
“They are the best team in the world and we matched that level. It is just about doing certain things better to beat them.
“I have more belief [to win the league] because I see a team going head-to-head with them. You have to go to the next one and in three days we have another game. I have more belief in my players,” Arteta told BBC Sport
