Europa League: Boniface confident Union Saint Gilloise will make semi-finals
Victor Boniface is upbeat Union Saint Gilloise will secure a place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
The Belgian Pro League club were held to a 1-1 draw by Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday night.
Boniface opened scoring for Union Saint Gilloise in the 51st minute before they were later pegged back by the hosts.
Both teams will clash again in the reverse fixture in Brussels next Thursday.
The 22-year-old is already looking forward to his club making the last four.
“We knew it would be a difficult match, so we are happy with the draw.
“We can be proud that we are already there, against a very strong team. But now we are looking forward to the return match in Brussels,” he told Het Nieuwsblad
