NPFL SEASON; Igali Charges Bayelsa United To Be Ruthless.
The Bayelsa State honourable commissioner for Sports Development, Champion Daniel Igali, has called on the state owned club Bayelsa United to hit the ground running as the new NPFL gets underway this weekend.
The world and Olympic champion hinged the charge on the past two seasons where Bayelsa United have battled for survival.
Champion Igali, in a message to the club, explained the importance of Bayelsa United having a flying start to the season, which will boost their confidence to achieving the club’s objectives this season.
He maintained that Bayelsa United is an important part of the A.S.S.U.R.E.D agenda of the Prosperity Government led by Governor Douye Diri, with the desire of seeing the club participate in the highest level of club competitions.
Daniel Igali noted that Governor Diri wants Bayelsa United to be recognised among the best teams in the country and beyond.
Meanwhile, the sports commissioner commended the management and staff of Bayelsa United for keying into the government’s plan so far with their adequate preparation in pre-season.
He expressed the government’s continued commitment to see that the objectives of the club are achieved.
Bayelsa United will kick-start their 2024-2025 campaign away from home against Sunshine Stars of Akure.
