Osimhen has been nominated for a Napoli Award
Victor Osimhen has been nominated for the Best Goal and Assist award at Napoli in 2022.
Osimhen’s spectacular strike in Napoli’s 1-0 away win over Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma in October was one of the top five goals nominated for the award.
The Nigeria international outmuscled England international Chris Smalling before firing from a tight angle past goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
Other players nominated for the Best Goal award include Giovanni Simeone, Piotr Zielinski, Khivicha Kvaratskhelia, and Eljif Elmas.
Osimhen is also a candidate for the Best Assist award.
The 23-year-old set up Elmas for the game-winning goal against Atalanta on November 5 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.
The striker will compete for the award against Franck Zambo Anguissa, Mario Rui, Kvaratskhelia, and Elmas.
This season, Osimhen has nine goals in 11 league appearances for the Parthenopeans.
