Two clubs well positioned to sign Cristiano Ronaldo in January revealed
Two clubs Cristiano Ronaldo could join after Manchester United terminated his contract on Tuesday, has emerged.
The 37-year-old is now ‘torn between’ a sensational move to Newcastle United and Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr.
The Red Devils announced on Tuesday that the football icon is no longer wanted at Old Trafford.
Both parties mutually terminated the contract with seven months left on the paper and Ronaldo’s statement confirmed it was over.
Marca reports Ronaldo could still remain in the English top-flight, adding that Newcastle is one serious option for the 37-year-old with Al-Nassr also in the running.
Newcastle boss, Eddie Howe had distanced the club from reports about signing Ronaldo last summer when the rumour surfaced.
Ronaldo had also been offered a tempting €350million by an unnamed Saudi side during the summer, which he rejected.
Also Graham Potter’s Chelsea are currently among the bookies’ favourites to sign Ronaldo from Manchester United.
Fresh report from the Mirror at the weekend claimed the Blues’ new owners led by Todd Boehly are still interested in bringing him to Stamford Bridge
