U-17 WWC: Flamingos ready to face any opponent – Usani
By Adeleye Kunle
Flamingos defender, Miracle Usani insists the team can create history by emerging winners at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in India.
Bankole Olowookere’s girls are two games away from winning the title for the first time in India.
The Flamingos will take on Colombia in the semi-final at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa, on Wednesday.
“I believe we can get to the final,” Usani said in an interview with FIFA.
“If we can beat USA, I don’t see any obstacle standing in our way.”
The game will start at 12pm Nigeria time.
The Flamingos beat United States of America 4-3 on penalties to get to this stage of the competition.
