U-23 AFCON qualifier: Oyo Governor Makinde presents the Olympic Eagles with N10 m, promises another $25,000

The Olympic Eagles have received N10 million from Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde ahead of their 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifying match against Tanzania.
On Friday night, Makinde hosted the Olympic Eagles to a dinner at the Government House in Agodi, Ibadan.
The team was also promised $25,000 regardless of the outcome against the Tanzanians by the state’s number one citizen.
On Saturday, Salisu Yusuf’s team will face the Serengeti Boys in the second leg of the qualifiers at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan (today).
Last weekend, both teams battled to a 1-1 tie in the first leg.
In the final round of qualifiers, the overall winners will face either Uganda or Guinea.
