Usman reveals one regret ahead of UFC welterweight title clash against Edwards

Kamoru Usman has revealed his only regret as he prepares for his bout against Leon Edwards at London’s O2 Arena as the main event of the UFC 286 this weekend.
The Nigerian-born fighter shockingly lost his UFC welterweight belt to Leon Edwards last year at Salt Lake City.
Usman was reportedly leading going into the last round before he was caught by Leon Edwards’ kick which left him flat on the ring.
Having won in their first fight, and suffered a defeat in the second fight, Usman wants to reclaim his belt in the trilogy.
The 34-year-old just wants to erase the memory of his daughter crying while he was knocked out of his head by reclaiming his UFC title.
“The only thing that broke my heart was that my daughter was there,” Usman said to The Pivot Podcast.
“I’m this invincible guy and she’s watched me win countless times, and in a child’s head, that’s just normal.
“I was watching the replay at the hospital and the kick lands and then the camera pans out and I can see my daughter crying. That broke my heart big time, but then I had to flip it mentally because this was my moment to show her.”
On Saturday, March 18, at 10 pm Nigerian time, Kamoru Usman and Leon Edward will go at it again at the London O2 Arena.
