The National Association of Government General Medical And Dental Practitioners, NAGGMDP, in Ekiti has charged the state government to make the health sector very attractive for young doctors.

NAGGMDP also appealed to all well-meaning residents to join hands in appealing to young doctors to help move the health sector in Ekiti forward and shun the “japa” syndrome.

The Chairman, NAGGMDP in Ekiti, Dr. Akinleye Alo, and other executive members at a press conference in Ado-Ekiti, debunked the statement that Governor Biodun Oyebanji has not shown commitment to improving the welfare of doctors in resolving the issues that have lingered till now from the past administration.

“These bright young minds are those we need at the moment to complement the hands we currently have in the system. If they keep leaving the system, we will all bear the brunt”

Dr. Alo, said, “The Governor who has only spent a couple of months in office has shown commitment to improving the welfare of doctors and resolving the issues that have lingered from the past administrations.

“We do not doubt the sincerity and the commitment of His Excellency, the Governor of Ekiti State to address the issues we have raised and we are more than committed to ensuring the success of his administration
