The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the incident.

He said: “The suspect confronted the teacher because he flogged his younger sister. He hit the teacher and the teacher collapsed. The teacher was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.”

The PPRO said the suspect and his parents are currently on the run while his younger sister is in protective custody.

Meanwhile, a 73-year-old Kenyan man has taken his son to court over a demand for monthly maintenance money.

The aged father identified as Gideon Kisira Cherowo demanded that his 48-year-old son, Washington Chepkombe Cherowo give him 20 percent of his monthly income.

Gideon told the Kitale high court that his son has abandoned him and refused to send him any money despite the fact that he is working.
