TRACKING______A student, named ‘Kodar Green’, of the Niger Delta University, Bayelsa has been murdered.

Green, a 200 level student of the Geology department met his sad end on Thursday, the 20th of February 2020 just hours after having his last meal. His assailants were a group of boys believed to be members of a rival culture gang. The issue in contention is unknown but residents are currently in fear of a rampage.

A Facebook user identified as Oga NDU who posted the gruesome pictures mourned his death even as friends and family cry their hearts out.

The late Green was attacked in his house located in Amassoma, Bayelsa State by a group of boys numbering about 20 according to a near eye-witness. The witness said the attackers walked past him at a few minutes past 7 pm and they all looked angry. According to him, “I knew that something bad was about to happen”.

Later, he would hear that the student of NDU was attacked and butchered to death.

The case has been reported to the Police who have since launched an investigation into the case.

Residents of the host community are left in shock wondering why a lively and jovial person such as Green would meet with such a GRU same fate. Some others are of the opinion that a cultist should not be pitied if he meets a sorrowful end as his hands too must have been filled with blood.

From the reports gathered across the nation, cultism continues to thrive with cult clash and gang wars claiming tens of lives in recent years.

The security officers have their hands full already and this development of battling armed culture groups in the country is sure to stretch them.

Higher institutions are also seeking to end the evil activities of cults as they cause unrest and fear on campus.
