Tambuwal blows hot, threatens to expose APC leader in Sokoto

– Tambuwal says he does not want to be ‘pushed’ by APC leaders in the state

– The governor says, if pushed, he would reveal all the dirty details about APC’s main leader in Sokoto and former governor Wamakko

– He also urged all political parties to conduct themselves with decorum and avoid violence in the peaceful state

Sokoto governor Aminu Tambuwal has threatened to expose the alleged dirty laundry of the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the stat Aliyu Wamakko.

Daily Trust reports that Tambuwal issued the on Saturday, October 13 while addressing his teeming supporters shortly after returning to the state from the PDP national convention held in Port Harcourt last Saturday.

Governor Tambuwal warned Wamakko that if pushed to the wall, he would reveal the dirty details that he had helped the APC leader to cover up.

He said: “When I became the Governor, some elders in the state advised him to draw a line which I did. I want us to remain in that course. They know what they left behind and if I open their can of worms, it will not augur well with some of them”.

Then he warned: ”If I am pushed to the wall, some of them will run away not even the EFCC can contain them. So let the sleeping dog lies.”

Tambuwal also warned political parties against causing violence in the state, noting that he wants Sokoto to remain the peaceful state it is known as.

Tambuwal’s outburst came just hours after TRACKNEWS.NG reported that at least one person was confirmed killed when supporters of the two largest parties in Nigeria, APC and PDP, clashed in Sokoto on Saturday.

According to reports, a 22-year old young man identified as Imrana Ahmad Alkanchi was said to have been hit by a stray bullet fired at the scene of the clash.

Alkanchi’s cousin, an Information officer of the Sokoto state university, Zayyanu Shehu confirmed his death.
