Taraba Gov. Ishaku dissolves 16 LG Council Chairmen

Taraba State Governor, Darius Ishaku on Sunday approved the dissolution of local government councils in the state.

In a statement signed and issued to newsmen by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Iliya Bekyu said the dissolution followed the expiration of the tenure of the councils on 3rd July 2022.

It says under this development, local government council’s chairmen have been directed to hand over the affairs of their respective councils to the Head of Local government administration pending the return of the Executive Governor to the state.
