The National Association of Tarakiri Youth (NATY), Worldwide, has successfully concluded its fourth executive council electoral process, marking a significant milestone in the organization’s leadership transition. The election, which drew participation from youth leaders and stakeholders across Tarakiri communities in Bayelsa and Delta states, was widely praised for being peaceful, transparent, and credible.
Senator Comrade Deizigha T. W. Anderson, who serves as General Secretary of NATY Worldwide, expressed deep appreciation for the success of the process and extended gratitude to individuals and groups who played key roles in ensuring a smooth transition. He described the election as an important moment for the association, which continues to serve as a platform for youth representation, unity, and development within the Tarakiri clan.
In his statement, Anderson first acknowledged God for the overall success of the exercise, emphasizing the importance of divine guidance in ensuring peace and order throughout the process. He highlighted that the election was not just about leadership change but about strengthening the values of unity and accountability among Tarakiri youths worldwide.
A central figure recognized in his message was Chief Hon. Dr. Prince Doodei Week, Ph.D., whom Anderson referred to as his political father, mentor, benefactor, and role model. He credited Week for his consistent guidance, financial support, and fatherly role in steering the electoral process toward success. According to Anderson, the contributions of Week and other senior leaders within Tarakiri ensured the election was carried out without violence or disputes.
Anderson also extended gratitude to his immediate family and political leaders who provided support throughout the electoral transition. Among those acknowledged were HRH Dr. Andy Zighadina, Ph.D., Comrade Bright Mangabo, President of the Tarakiri Youths Association (TYA), Comrade Ekpokeme Sambo, Chairman of the Tarakiri Committee of Friends (TCF), and Comrade Ebinanamunu Ben, Chairman of the Tarakiri APC Youths Forum.

He further recognized Comrade Ebiowei Ajoka, Chairman of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Tarakiri clan worldwide, alongside several other youth leaders and stakeholders such as Comrade George Nimidenbofa, Comrade Godfrey Asaka, Hon. Bekeowei Oyinkuro, National Representative Member in Council, Hon. Yola, Chief Godwin Adokeme, Elder Victor Eyorokumo, Mr. Gibson Gbalimori, and Barrister Koffi Romeo.
The outgoing third executive council of NATY, led by Hon. Engr. Tolu Minister, also received commendation for their collaborative spirit, dedication, and contributions during their tenure. Anderson noted that their cooperation was instrumental in ensuring the smooth handover of leadership responsibilities.
He equally praised the electoral committee chaired by Comrade Duoble Effere for its efforts in delivering a process that was credible and transparent. According to Anderson, the committee’s impartiality and commitment to fairness demonstrated a model of democratic leadership for youths across Tarakiri.
