TB Joshua: President Buhari Says Late Prophet Will Be Missed

President Muhammadu Buhari has reacted to the death of popular Nigerian prophet, TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

The President in a statement on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said the late Prophet will be missed for his spiritual contributions and philanthropic impact on the lives of many people.

TrackNews Online recalls TB Joshua, 57, died in Lagos on Saturday evening after concluding a programme at his church in Ikotun.

The death of the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua has also been confirmed by the church.

Reacting to his death, President Buhari commiserated with the family and church members of the renowned prophet but told them to take solace in the fact that he lived a good life.

The full statement reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari commiserates with the family and members of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on the passing of their father and founder, Pastor Temitope Balogun, popularly known as TB Joshua.”

“The President notes that the renowned televangelist will be missed by his followers all over the world not only for his spiritual contributions, but for touching many lives through philanthropic gestures.”

“President Buhari urges Pastor Joshua’s followers to take solace in the knowledge that life is not measured and defined by chronological longevity but by enduring legacies and lives touched positively.”

“He also condoles with the government and people of Ondo State and prays that God Almighty will accept the soul of the departed pastor.”

Meanwhile, a group of young men have died in Kano State while returning from a friend’s wedding ceremony.

Reports revealed that the youths, seventeen in number lost their lives on Saturday evening, June 5, while returning to Kano after attending the wedding of their friend in Zaria, Kaduna state.
