A school teacher, Omobolanle Michael, has been arrested and charged in Lagos State for allegedly molesting two underaged sisters by inserting his fingers into their private parts inside the school premises.

TrackNews reports that the incident happened at Adenekan Salako Street, off Ijaiye Road, Ogba area of Lagos.

He was charged for sexually assaulting the victims aged, 9 and 6 by fondling their breasts, buttocks and Inserting fingers into their private parts.

According to the Police, trouble started after the victims reported to their mother that the suspect, Michael, was sexually molesting them by tempering with their private parts.

Thus, the matter was reported to the Police at Ikeja Division. He was arrested and detained at the Police Station for interrogation over his alleged conduct.

After rounds of interrogation, the Police found him culpable as the victims testified against him and he was subsequently charged before the Ogba Magistrate Court for the alleged offence, which attracts several years of imprisonment.

However, the Court did not take his plea when he was arraigned following a motion moved by the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, asking the Court to refer the matter to the DPP for legal advice.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. E. Kubenije, ordered his remand in custody Correctional Centre at Kirikiri town, Lagos, pending when the DPP’s report will be ready and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to the DPP.

The matter was adjourned till 29th August, 2023, for mention for the report of DPP’s advice to be made available, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction
