Terrorists behind the March 28 attack on a Kaduna-bound train have released yet another video in which they whip their victims and threaten to kidnap President Muhammadu Buhari and Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El- Rufai.
At least eight people were killed, including a ruling APC youth leader, Amin Mahmoud, a medical doctor, Tibile Mosugu, and the secretary-general of the Trade Union Congress, Barrister Musa Lawal-Ozigi.
The male victims were separated from the women in the eleven-minute video released by the insurgents, after which they were mercilessly flogged with makeshift canes.
The exhausted victims pleaded with the international community, including the United Nations, African Union, and Saudi Arabia, to come to their aid, claiming that the Nigerian government had failed to save them from the terrorists.
A male captive stated that the terrorists had no intention of keeping them for more than a week if the Federal Government did not meet the kidnappers’ demands.
Terrorists were also seen threatening the victims if the Federal Government did not meet their demands. They also claimed that one of the escapees from the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Kuje, Abuja, had found them in the forest and rejoined them.
God’s Will?
One of the terrorists declared that they would bring President Buhari and Governor Nasir El-Rufai before them and subject them to the same fate as their captives.
“We want your government officials to know that if you do not meet our demand, we will kill these people.” “One of the Kuje break escapees spoke and said he is here in the forest with his brothers,” a gang member said.
“If you don’t comply with our demands, we’ll kill the ones we need to kill and sell the rest.” We will bring you here by God’s grace, El-Rufai and Buhari.”
“We are aware that the government intends to rescue these people by force, but we want you to know that we are aware of every committee you form.” You use guns and planes, but we will win.”
The terrorists also claimed that their actions were God’s will and that they will not hesitate to turn the captives into slaves, as they did with the Chibok schoolgirls who were kidnapped in 2014.
“We’re doing God’s will, and this is nothing compared to what you’ll see if you don’t grant our wish.” El Rufai and Buhari will be brought here and executed in the same manner as these individuals.”
“This is our message to the government of Nigeria, and by the grace of God, you will see your leaders; your senators and governors will come before us.”
“These ones you see here, we will keep some as slaves and sell them off, just like our Imam told you before,” he explained. “We will sell these girls as slaves, just like the Chibok girls were.” one of the terrorists added.
