TRACKING___The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri has left no one in doubt that he was primed for governance. Upon his emergence as the Chief Helmsman of the Jerusalem of Ijaw nation; he made it clear that his administration would work for the good and prosperity of all Bayelsans irrespective of party affiliation.
According to the Miracle Governor: ” I therefore, bring to you a message of love, hope and prosperity for Bayelsa. Let us eschew all the bitterness and acrimony and learn to love ourselves inrespective of political parties”.
As the government prepares to clock it’s first 100 – days in office. The signs of what Bayelsans should expect from a man that knows his onions is crystal clear.
From the steps he has taken and utterances since he took the oath of office, on a day set aside globally to celebrate love further demonstrates that Bayelsans surely have a date with history. The budget which encapsulates the vision and policy thrust of the government; christened :’ Consolidation for Prosperity 2020′, has been signed into law.
Sector by sector the State would soon witness an unprecedented developmental stride that would trigger the industry and ingenuity of Bayelsans. Development of key infrastructure as a catalyst for sustained economic growth and development are embedded in the Appropriation Act.
What is required of all Bayelsans regardless of social standing and station in life; is to join hands and support our miracle governor. The security and development of our state should supersede our individual calculations, political biases and partisan prejudice.
We have no other state than Bayelsa. Our state shoulders a huge responsibility, as the melting pot of the Ijaw race.
Fortunately, our state is richly blessed with both human and material resources; which have not been properly utilized to our advantage. The governor has assured Bayelsans of his readiness to maximize these untapped and underutilized resources for the greater good of all Bayelsans.
In his words: ” that he would always work to achieve peace, love and prosperity for his people”.
Bayelsans have been yearning for someone that will fight for them. That understands their feelings and idiosyncrasies. That would judiciously utilize their financial resources for the even development of the State.
The present occupant of Creek Haven fits the bill. Though, in the course of carrying out these divinely inspired massive social- economic and infrastructural rejuvenation some sacrifices and inconveniences would be required. But in the end, Bayelsans would be proud of the Man they have in Creek Haven.
For us to achieve our collective dream, the Governor has these words for us: ” Where there is injury, let us learn how to pardon. Where there is doubt, let us have faith. Where there is despair, let us have hope. Where there is darkness, let us bring light”.
In all, the prosperity we are yearning for; is right at our door step. The train that houses our desires and aspirations have left the station; it is on course, all Bayelsans are expected to be on board; to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state. To do otherwise, will be detrimental to our quest of making our state an industrial and prosperous state.
