The former vice president of Nigeria and just elected presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to his recent victory at the just concluded primaries election.
In a reaction via his official Twitter handle, Atiku commended the PDP and all its members for choosing him as the flag-bearer ahead of the 2019 presidential election.
His reaction followed the national convention of the PDP at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, Rivers state
He said: “@OfficialPDPNig, thank you for choosing me. This is a victory for all of us. The task to get Nigeria working again starts now. #NigeriaWillWork #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain.”
Meanwhile, TRACK NEWS previously reported that the former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election to emerge as its presidential candidate for the 2019 presidential election.
In the election conducted on Saturday, October 6, at the party’s convention which took place in Port Harcourt, the former vice president defeated 11 other political bigwigs in the party.
He is expected to provide stiff competition to President Muhammadu Buhari who emerged as the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate.
