Tinubu: Election Process Will End At Supreme Court, Not After Swearing-In -Ezekiel Nya-Etok

A Nigerian statesman, Ezekiel Nya-Etok, has explained why the swearing-in of the president-elect, Tinubu, will not be the end of the electoral process. In his interview, the governorship candidate recalled what happened in Imo State after a candidate was sworn into office as governor.

Addressing the topic, Ezekiel said, “No, the electoral process has not been concluded yet. You need to know that the election process starts with indicating your interest and ends at the Supreme Court judgment, not at the swearing-in. The Imo State governor, Ihedioha, was sworn into office as governor until the Supreme Court removed him, and he left office for Hope Uzodinma.

He added, “The electioneering process does not end at the swearing in but at the final judgment of the supreme court. Wike’s call for Nigerians to back Tinubu is ill-informed and shows a lack of emotional intelligence at a time like this. He has done his worst during the election, so he should leave it and let the electoral process run its course to a logical conclusion. Nobody should take the laws into their own hands, and we should accept the outcome of the court process.
