‘Tinubu has left governance for foreign trips, photo ops’ – Bwala

A lawyer and PDP member, Daniel Bwala, has accused President Bola Tinubu of abandoning governance for foreign trips and photo ops with global leaders.

Bwala, an ally of Atiku Abubakar, made the allegations while speaking with AriseTV on Wednesday.

He accused Tinubu’s media team of trying to misinform Nigerians on the true state of things during the president’s meetings abroad.

“There was no plan for President Biden to meet with Tinubu at the G20. When they met, they only shook hands. It’s not a big deal to meet these presidents but don’t make a mountain out of a molehill,” Bwala began.

He continued: “The media machine of the president is projecting itself as awful and even worse than that of the last administration. The last administration was not forceful in giving out information but Tinubu’s team is forceful in the communication of misinformation and misleading of the Nigerian people.

“Don’t make it seem like photo ops and shaking of hands will amount to foreign investments as they trying to project.

“By next week when Tinubu will meet Biden based on protocol, that is when you can talk about sidelines. In fact, if the G20 and Dubai meetings were like this, the president’s team may say the entire UN has planned to come and invest in Nigeria.

“All I’m trying to say is that you can only develop and make your country attractive when you focus on your domestic policies and national security interest which are contained in your manifesto.

“Now, you have abandoned that and you are on foreign trips to use photo ops as evidence of legitimacy or prosperity. That cannot work.

“If things continue this way, you will see nothing from Dubai and India as per investments because there are no specificity, deliverables or timelines.”
