As reported by Nigerian Tribune on Tuesday, December 19, the Plateau government said no meeting transpired between Tinubu, Ariwoola, and the governor who was sacked by the Appeal Court.

Earlier, AmbaJay reported that a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Williams Dakwom, outlined the key factor that could work against the Plateau state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the ongoing legal battle at the Supreme Court.

In a chat with AmbaJay, Dakwom emphasised that the court order for PDP to conduct congresses, which they allegedly flouted, could impact the final judgment at the apex court.

AmbaJay also reported that Justice Abdulaziz Waziri of the Court of Appeal explained the judgement of the court that sacked Governor Mutfwang and national and state assembly members of the PDP in Plateau state.

The judge, who spoke at the ‘2023 law week’ in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, on Tuesday, December 12, said those who are criticising the court verdict are not getting the point.

In another related news, AmbaJay reported that a former governor of Plateau state, Fidelis Tapgun, predicted the possible outcome of the Supreme Court judgment in Mutfwang’s case.

Tapgun noted that he had warned his party before the 2023 general elections over the previous court judgements against the PDP structure in Plateau state, but he was ignored, even by Mutfwang.
