Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has revealed the name given to him by RCCG leader Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The cleric is General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), one of the world’s largest pentecostal churches.
Tinubu recounted in a viral video how Adeboye referred to him as Abraham after his wife, Remi, was ordained as a pastor.
He made the revelation while meeting with leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Tijaniyya sect, and other Islamic groups in Kano.
“I was present on the day my wife was ordained as a pastor.” Abraham was given to me by Pastor Adeboye. When I asked what it meant, he replied, “Watch out…the father of nations.”
During the debate, the former Lagos governor took a shot at one of his presidential opponents.
“With all of us running, there are now three of us left.” One has just failed the most important part of the test. Are you a divider or a unifier? “He said I’m from the north,” he explained.
Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, APC chieftains, and other dignitaries attended the event.
