The Coalition of Progressive Minds for BAT (PMBAT) declared yesterday that it is ready to work as a formidable group to see Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu elected president.
Chief Yemi Oladokun, its Director General, stated this at a news conference in Ogba, Lagos.
Tinubu’s performance as governor of Lagos State, according to the retired banker-turned-politician, was evident.
He cited human capital development, security, traffic, education, and transportation, among other accomplishments, as reasons for the group’s determination to increase votes through PVC mobilization, awareness campaigns, symposiums, rallies, and other means.
Oladokun stated that the organization would use its population strength in 25 states and more to increase votes for Tinubu.
“We are not just a group,” he explained, “but a fusion of about 15 that subsume into our coalition.” The purpose of forming a coalition is that we cannot do it alone; a mushroom cannot be as effective as when we have a central group that can move and knows the purpose of what we want to do for our principal and to ensure that he is elected President of Nigeria in 2023.
“You may wonder why we believe in Tinubu, why we believe he is the man for the job.
“Before someone says he can do something, let us take a look at what they have done previously.” Has he previously performed? What is his name? What is his character like? What is his background? Tinubu is an example of someone who has been tested.
“Our intention is to mobilize city votes in support of our principal’s ambition.” Each group with which we have been working and having meetings here and there to canvass for votes is very close to the grassroots, which is why we believe that working together will give us the mileage that will help our principal succeed. We made the decision to do this because he deserves it.”
