Troops arrest seven suspected bandits, recover arms, ammunition in Zamfara

The Nigerian Army has said troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI arrested seven suspected terrorists and recovered arms and ammunition in different locations in Zamfara State.

Major General Musa Danmadami, Director, Defence Media Operations, Defence Headquarters, in a statement said the troops conducted clearance Operations on April 22, 2023 in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State and neutralized seven bandits.

It further said the troops destroyed several bandits’ camps and seven motorcycles, just as it recovered two empty AK-47 magazines and one Baofeng radio.

“Following the arrest of a terrorists’ informant on 21 April, 2023, troops conducted a follow-up operation and arrested 2 terrorists on 22 April, 2023 at Shinkafi town, Shinkafi Local Government Area in Zamfara State and recovered one motorcycle and three mobile phones,” he said.

The statement further said the military authority praised troops of Operation HADARIN DAJI, just as it advised members of the public to always report any suspicious faces or criminal elements for urgent arrest
